Mira Costa High School was included in the top 12 high schools in Los Angeles (among public and private schools) according to Los Angeles magazine.  

I am so committed to the schools of the South Bay that I have joined the Commissions for Education. The goal of this real estate related organization is to donate money back in to the community to complement and support the goals and challenges of each Education Foundation. We support the Education Foundations for all of the South Bay communities.

Mira Costa has also been rated by ESPN FAB 50 as the 15th Best High School Athletic Program in the Country!  Following close behind are Hermosa Beach, El Segundo, Redondo Beach and Torrance school districts. Manhattan Beach, Torrance, El Segundo and Redondo Beach have just passed school bonds to improve their high schools so there is great community support for public schools in the South Bay. New construction of science and math classrooms will commence in 2011 at Mira Costa thanks to Measure BB.  Redondo Unified School District is well under way on their bond construction and have completed several new buildings and athletic facilities.
